What kind of food do you prepare?
We prepare complete homemade food with 100% natural human-grade ingredients. We offer 4 base proteins (beef, chicken, lamb and vegetarian), plus toppers and treats. Every recipe includes proteins, carbs, vegetables, fruits and healthy fats. Everything is cooked in Montréal.
How much does it cost?
Price depends on your dog's size and the plan you choose. Standard Plan (chicken, beef): from C$79/wk (small dog), C$139/wk (medium), C$189/wk (large). Premium Plan (includes lamb and quinoa): from C$99, C$169, C$229 respectively. We also have a Topper Plan from C$25/wk to complement their current diet. Delivery included in Greater Montréal. That's 30-40% less than Tom & Sawyer, with a vegetarian recipe no one else in Canada offers.
Is this raw food (BARF)?
No. All our food is cooked. We cook every ingredient at the right temperature to ensure food safety and maximum digestibility.
How do you know what my dog needs?
We ask you for information about your dog (age, weight, breed, health conditions) and with that data, we calculate their exact nutritional needs. Every recipe is personalized and reviewed by canine nutritionists.
What if my dog doesn't like it?
We offer a satisfaction guarantee. If your dog doesn't adapt during the first week, we'll refund you. But know that 95% of dogs devour their first Alqo meal.
How often do you deliver?
We deliver weekly to your door in Greater Montréal. The food arrives in individual ready-to-serve portions.
Can I change recipes?
Absolutely! You can switch between the 4 proteins every week. You can also add toppers and treats to your order.
Is it suitable for dogs with allergies?
Yes. Our lamb and vegetarian recipes are hypoallergenic. Plus, by personalizing the recipe, we can exclude any ingredient that causes issues for your dog.

Why is it more expensive than kibble?
Kibble is made with cheap by-products and cooked at extreme temperatures that destroy nutrients. Alqo uses real chicken, beef, lamb or plant proteins — freshly cooked in Montréal, portioned for your dog and delivered to your door. It's the difference between a home-cooked meal and fast food.
Do you offer a vegetarian option?
Yes! It's our pride and a Canadian exclusive. Formulated with lentils, quinoa and fresh vegetables, enriched with B12, taurine and L-carnitine. No other fresh dog food brand in Canada offers this option.
Do you deliver outside Montréal?
